Back South
So if you are wondering why lately we haven't been updating our blog as much, it's because we have been a little busy. From moving out of our house in our little community to going down South to pray about where God wants us to live and hosting a team from Ontario at the same time, life has been full. But in the midst of busyness we have been so encouraged.
Here are some pictures of our trip down South with the Ontario Team.

Here we are getting ready to start our adventure with the Ontario Team in South Thailand. But I first want to introduce you to one of the kids on our team, Jesse. For any of you who are thinking of coming out here, you have no worries. Jesse will keep you entertained. I love our team.

On our trip down South we stopped in many places to pray and ask God, "Where do you want us to live?" It was really encouraging having the Ontario team come and join our team in our prayers.

Praying by the blue boat. This fishing boat was brought inland by the tsunami. It now serves as a memorial of the Tsunami.

Me (Amanda), my parents, Reg and the Ontario Team joined together with some of our Thai friends to help them lay cement for a building they are planning on building. This picture was taken right before we got covered in cement. So we put on our flip flops and started swinging buckets of cement down the line to pour it. It was a lot of fun. At the end of the day we were soaked with sweat and covered in cement. It sure is fun to serve God.

Here Phil is working to get us some shade. It's amazing the difference shade can make in this hot country.

It was fun working together with the Ontario team to pour cement. Working together as a team was a lot of fun.

Here I am trying to move the bags of cement so Reg could get the Duk eh with the broom. Duk eh's are lizards that have a reputation of not letting go of something once it has bitten down onto it. No worries. The broom worked and the Duk eh's left.

Anyone interested in riding a water buffalo. There are two here just waiting to be ridden.

In the South we visited some villages. This is one house we visited. They say that one thing they do to keep the mosquitoes away is light a fire underneath where we are sitting, and the smoke keeps the bugs away. Interesting hey?

This is Amber's new home for the next couple weeks. She will be studying Thai and living with our friend Bia.

This is one restaurant we stopped by. The water underneath rises and falls with the tide. Here we were connecting with some of our new Thai friends.

Going to church in the same place where I had gone to look for dead bodies after the Tsunami 2.5 years earlier was really encouraging for me(Amanda) and the rest of us to see. God answers our prayers even when it seems so impossible.

Isn't God amazing? This God who created such beauty invites us to be in relationship with Him. Wow! We just want to praise Him.
We are sorry we haven't updated our blog as much lately. We love getting your comments so much. And we wish we could respond to them all, but time doesn't allow for that. Maybe one day!
God bless you!
